The popular article site, Article Content King, has its first “King”. The title of King of the site is awarded at the end of each calendar month to the author who has gained the most points for their articles submitted over the previous 90 days.
In actual fact, this month’s King is a Queen. Liz Canham submitted 39 articles and scored 774 points for them. Points are awarded via the site’s moderation and rating system which was put in place to maintain a high standard of articles throughout the site.
The King competition is on-going and is always based on articles submitted within the previous 90 days, so as time passes, older articles will no longer be counted. This means that anyone new to article marketing or generally submitting articles to article sites can be in with a chance of becoming King if they consistently submit good quality articles to the site.
Obviously, some authors, such as Liz, have a head start, but if you start submitting articles now, you could be in with a chance to win the September 2009 King contest.
There are many valuable benefits to becoming King of the site, and as promised in a previous post, all future articles written by the King will be syndicated to this site, which will provide additional back-links to the articles.
Congratulations go to Liz Canham, whose article RSS feed has already been added to this site.

For an article to be considered good at this point in time, it must be written for an actual reader, the era of trashy articles just to attract search engines is gone. Anyway, isn't the biggest reason you are writing is to get a reader to actually read, get interested and click on your link at the bottom? And even if your motivation is to have readers click ads on the page, you still must write something they will stay with.
